Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz is committed to making the websites of its domain \u201cuni-mainz.de\u201d as accessible to all users as possible. The legal basis for this is the State Act on Equal Opportunities for Disabled Persons (Landesgesetz zur Gleichstellung behinderter Menschen, LGGBehM<\/i>) and the Ordinance on Barrier-Free Information Technology Rhineland-Palatinate (Barrierefreie-Informationstechnik-Verordnung Rheinland-Pfalz, BITV RP<\/i>).<\/p>\n\n\n<\/jgu-base-heading>\n\n\n\n

The websites of the domain \u201cuni-mainz.de\u201d are currently designed to be as accessible as possible within the scope of technical feasibility. During the upcoming university-wide website relaunch, the aim will be to further adapt the layout and ensure accessibility for all. Earlier adjustments to the design of the website beyond those planned would constitute a disproportionate burden for Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz as defined in section 7 subsection 3 LGGBehM, and the University is therefore exempt from the obligation to provide the accessibility specified in section 7 subsection 1 LGGBehM.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/jgu-base-heading>\n\n\n\n
